[ About PEMF Therapy ]

Syneurgy MT - Biomimicry Technology, Rejuvinating Bio-Magentic Wave Therapy

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy has several established uses.

Examples include accelerating bone healing (Physio-Stim, Orthofix International) and treating depression (Neurostar TMS, Neuronetics Inc.).

Other applications of PEMF therapy under investigation are for the treatment of pain and to promote or accelerate wound healing. Extensive research has been conducted for the treatment of pain with static and pulsed electromagnetic fields 10-21. Electrical signals in the body are transmitted through the neural network through synaptic activity between neurons. The electrical activity is generated by the flow of positively and negatively charge ions passing through the cell membrane. A pulse of electrical energy is propagated as the electrical potential of the neuron’s axonal membranes changes to these specific ions.

This electrical pulse is the action potential pulse.

PEMF therapy works by utilizing an alternating magnetic field to stimulate electrical activity in biological cells. We hypothesize the effectiveness of current PEMF therapy can be improved by delivery of pulsed energy waves which more closely match the natural timing of neural activity in the body and which vary over the treatment time. The pulse method used is proprietary and the subject of pending patent applications.
